Taking care of your skin is key!
There is often a misconception that you are going to find the miracle in a jar. The one product that will keep your skin youthful, hydrated and glowing for all time.
The truth of it is that many factors play into healthy skin, sun protection, for those in the back I repeat… sun protection. Balanced diet, lots of green vegetables, fruit, water and than some more water. Having great skin is an easy recipe but nothing works with just one ingredient right?
Once you have implemented a few of these healthy habits, (drinking water, a lot of water) than we get to something a little more fun! Finding the right products, this will all depend on your skin type but there are some basic tips that work for everyone.
Exfoliate a few times a week with a gentle exfoliator, this removes product build up, dead skin. On the days that you don’t exfoliate use a gentle foaming or gel cleanser, this will help keep your skin clean without stripping it too dry from over-exfoliation.
Hydrate and Moisturize, hyaluronic acid paired with a moisturizer is a fantastic combo to keep your skin soft, and hydrated for that glow! The serum goes first, on slightly damp skin followed by your moisturizer.
Eye cream, use something with ingredients to help you with whatever you're trying to treat, puffiness, dark circles, fine lines etc.
Skincare is not filler, let me be clear on this. Skincare is meant to maintain good texture of the skin, help protect from sun damage, keep the skin clean, it does not remove fine line like your Botox, I think a great skincare regime and conservative botox (if thats for you) is a great option for youthful skin.
Routine Facials, at home skincare regime, hydrate, hydrate, hydrate! Add a hyloronic acid serum to your skincare, The Ordinary makes one that I really like. and they sell it at Sephora. Once your skin is properly exfoliated and hydrates, your makeup will look red carpet ready! Your makeup will look smoother, stay on longer and glow from within!
