Bridal But Make It Fashion
Hi friends!
As another beautiful wedding season winds down, I’ve been reflecting on how much bridal style has evolved over the past few years. Today’s brides are breaking away from the idea that there’s only one “bridal look.” Instead, they’re embracing an entire weekend of celebration, each event with its own mood, story, and style.
From classic ceremony gowns to chic rehearsal dinner outfits and effortless after-party looks, modern bridal fashion has become about self-expression. It’s no longer just about the dress; it’s about creating moments that feel like you.
The Collaboration
Recently, I had the joy of collaborating with photographer Andrew Parsons and designer Angeline Brunk on a bridal editorial that captured this new wave of creativity. We wanted to explore what it means to be a modern bride, someone who celebrates every part of her love story with confidence and personality.
One of the standout trends from the shoot (and one I’m loving for 2025 brides) is the mini dress. These shorter styles are chic, playful, and perfect for any wedding weekend event, whether it’s the welcome party, rehearsal dinner, or morning-after brunch. The mini offers freedom and movement while still feeling elevated and special. It’s bridal, but with a twist.
Beauty That Feels Fresh and Modern
For this editorial, our goal was to create beauty that felt effortless, modern, and wearable. I wanted the makeup and hair to enhance, not overpower, the individuality of each look. Think polished skin with natural luminosity, softly defined eyes, and texture that feels lived-in yet refined.
This approach is what I’m seeing brides gravitate toward this season: a focus on authenticity and comfort. The most timeless beauty will always be the kind that lets you feel like yourself.
