Fresh Faces and Fall Moments

October has been one of those months that makes me pause and feel incredibly grateful. Grateful for the people I get to work with, the spaces I get to create in, and the beauty of this community. From the buzz of New York Bridal Fashion Week to the quiet confidence built during our Tween Edit class, it’s been a season of meaningful moments and creative joy.

Here’s a look at what’s been filling my cup lately.

Backstage at NYBFW

This month, I had the honor of doing hair and makeup for the Hayley Paige show at New York Bridal Fashion Week, and it was such a life changing  experience. There’s nothing quite like the energy backstage, designers finalizing last-minute details, models stepping into breathtaking gowns, and creatives everywhere bringing visions to life.

The look we created was all about clean, modern structure paired with radiant skin: polished, fresh, and effortless. Being part of that creative energy, where artistry and fashion meet, always reminds me why I love this work so much.

I also had the chance to attend the Sarah Noori preview and I’m still not over how beautifully everything came together. Her designs are effortlessly romantic, with feminine silhouettes that move with strength, style, and grace.

I was invited as a guest to take in the collection and collaborate on content that captured the beauty and movement of the pieces. The hair and makeup direction, soft sculpting, stained lips , intentional, and bold in the right places, a perfect complement to her feminine aesthetic.

Our Tween Edit Class Was a Hit

One of the biggest highlights this month? Hosting our Tween Edit class. We built a space where young beauty enthusiasts  could learn age-appropriate beauty techniques in a way that felt supportive, fun, and confidence-boosting. Watching these girls light up as they learned how to care for and express themselves through beauty, without pressure or perfection, was truly the best.

There’s something powerful about helping the next generation feel seen and capable. More classes are on the way, and you can keep an eye out for announcements here.

Skincare We Love

Behind every flawless finish is a solid skin routine. If you’re in the Seattle area and looking for professional, approachable skincare, I can’t recommend SkinSpirit at University Village enough. Their team is so welcoming and results-driven, it’s the kind of place where you feel instantly taken care of.

Two of my go-to treatments? Dermaplaning for smooth, makeup-ready skin and customized facials that target exactly what your skin needs. If you tell them we sent you, you’ll receive a special referral discount as part of our community.

WIPA Gala Beauty Lounge is Almost Full

We’re counting down the days until the WIPA Gala on November 21 at the InterContinental Bellevue. It’s one of my favorite events of the year: a celebration of our local wedding industry that always feels both elevated and inspiring.

This year, we’re hosting a full Beauty Lounge to help attendees feel their absolute best before the event. Hair, makeup, touch-ups, we’re offering it all, along with exclusive WIPA pricing.

Our first round of appointments sold out, but we’ve just opened a few more spots. If you’re attending and want to reserve a session, now’s the time. Book here before they’re gone.

Creating Space at House Wight

And lastly, a quick reminder that House Wight is always here for your creative sessions, team shoots, content days, and client work. It’s designed to feel warm and versatile, with natural light, professional stations, seamless rolls, and thoughtful details throughout.

It’s more than just a studio. It’s a place to feel inspired.
