Booking Season 2020

Booking Season 2020

Nine…..That’s how many panicked inquiries I received in 2019, five is the total number of weddings I was able to help last minute.

I get it, weddings are an investment every time you turn around your spending money on one thing or another. I have blogged about this before and I’m blogging about it again because I am still getting inquiries about brides on the fence between booking hair and makeup with me, or DIY (boyfriends, sister’s cousin.)

We all have those friends who do gorgeous makeup on themselves, their skin is beautiful, they know how to wing their liner, it seems like a no brainer to give them a shot. Just because someone can slay their own makeup does not mean they can slay someone else’s. Not everyone can rock that fierce wing, nor should they try on your wedding day.

A professional artist will carry a kit full of makeup that will match any skin tone, a friend will will not.

A professional artist will be educated on professional lighting, working with a professional photographer, know the amount of makeup necessary to show up against a professional flash, a friend (likely) will not.

A professional will have impeccable sanitation practice, have timing down to an art, keep everyone on track and on time.

I always rank hair and makeup at the top of your vendor list, just as important as your photographer and your wedding coordinator. We set the tone for your day, we keep you on time, stress free, your making a huge investment in professional photos, leave it to the professionals to give you hair and makeup service of the highest quality and ensure that it stays till the very last dance.
